    We’re slap-bang in the middle of TV’s off season and with Game of Thrones out of the picture – for now – there’s a gap in every TV addict’s schedule and with us dying to know what happens when Daenerys reaches Westeros, there are other shows to get lost in for the time being.

    Goliath

    Starring Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt, Goliath follows lawyer Billy McBride (Thornton) as he gets a case that could give him the revenge he needs on his old firm that fired him and redemption for his tarnished name. With rave reviews, a score of 8.4 on IMDB and a star-studded  cast it’s definitely one to look out for.

    Versailles

    Set in1667, Versailles focuses on a young King Louis XIV of France as he fights politics, bureaucracy and dissent in his court, before  moving from Paris to Versailles. From the producer of HBO’s Rome, this show is one to keep an eye on; an epic story filled with deceit and betrayal, alongside battles in both the literal and psychological sense.

    Timeless

    Sci-fi series, Timeless, tells of a criminal who steals a time-machine and goes back in time, only to be followed a group of three people who are sent to track him down and protect history from any changes that might happen in order to save the future – who wouldn’t want to go back and be a time-travelling detective?.

     No Tomorrow

    What would you do if you knew that humanity was going to die-out in 8 months? That’s the idea behind No Tomorrow; a rom-com that focuses on Evie – played by Tori Anderson – who meets the guy of her dreams who inspires her to live her life to the fullest.

    Lethal Weapon

    Based on the legendary movie of the same name, Lethal Weapon follows detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh as they solve crimes. It’s a simple set-up, but with great chemistry between the new leads – Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans as Riggs and Murtaugh respectively – and good comedic moments, it’s a nice show if you’ve got some time to burn.

     The Good Place

    Kristen Bell plays Eleanor Shellstrop, who dies and goes to ‘The Good Place’; her reward in the afterlife for all her good deeds – but there’s a problem. Eleanor is far from a good egg and soon discovers that she has been mistaken for a humanitarian lawyer with the same name, leaving her to hide her true identity.

    The Night Of

    A drugged and liquored up young man, played by Riz Ahmed, wakes up to find the girl he spent the night with murdered.With no memory of what happened, he’s so arrested and found with the murder weapon. Insisting that he’s innocent, The Night Of dips into the psychological torture of courtroom drama and makes for compulsive viewing.
