Infamous 1970’s serial killer, David Berkowitz—better known as Son of Sam, killed six people and wounded several others, claiming the dogs that kept him up at night with their howling were demons telling him to go out and murder women.

Killers Without Conscience: H.H. Holmes & Jane Toppan (2009)
During the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago, Holmes became America’s first known serial killer when he charmed and lured victims to his hotel of horrors where he murdered them and hid their bodies in the walls. The property featured 51 doorways that opened to brick walls, 100 windowless rooms, stairs that led to nowhere, two furnaces and body-sized chutes to an incinerator.
