  • Top Playstation 4 Launch Titles to Look Out For

Gamers woke up this week to the news that the long-awaited Playstation 4 has finally been given an official release date. Sony announced that PS4 will hit stores on November 15th in the US and Canada, while Europe and the rest of the world will have to wait till the 29th.

Microsoft, meanwhile, has already been dealt an early blow in the perennial console wars; the new XBox One has been priced at $499 .while the  PS4 will reportedly sell for $399 – analysts, and a teenager who ‘reviews technology’ in his bedroom and uploads it to Youtube, continue to speculate how the pricing difference will effect sales.

But right now, we’re not interested in the economics of gaming. Here are the five top titles that will be released on D-Day.

    FIFA 14

Oh FIFA 14; the cause of many a divorce and failed exam. Never resting on their laurels, EA Sports have added several new features, including a revamped Career Mode and a new ‘Ignite Engine’ that promises the most realistic AI of the series.

    Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

As one of the best action-adventure RPGs of recent years, the latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed series will take gamers to Spanish Havana, British-ruled Kingston and pirate-run Nassau, with lots of twists and turns along the way, we’re sure.

     Battlefield 4

If first-person shooters are your thing, Battlefield 4 is the game for you. Fans of the series will know what to expect, though newbies will be taken aback by the sheer level of detail and intricacy that one can put into a game of this kind.

    Call of Duty: Ghosts

If, like us, you hoped that this was some sort of awesome C.O.D-Ghostbusters mash-up, we can regretfully confirm that it’s not. The story puts you in an alternate universe where a catastrophic event renders the US powerless. Goosebumps.

    Need for Speed: Rivals

As one of the PS4 launch titles, many have cast doubt whether the erratic Need for Speed franchise can produce the goods. We tend to agree, but can’t wait to call in a roadblock on some punk-criminal as we chase him through the open-world, fictional town of Redview County.
