Cairo Jazz Club kicks off its weekend with a night of live music, as Cairo’s Beatle-est Beatles cover band, Glass Onion, returning on a night that sees Egyptian-Armenian rockers, Electric Picnic, make a rare appearance.
SOIREE FRENCH TOUCH @ THE FRECNH INSTITUTE
Egypt’s NeoByrd features in what is likely to be an event that goes under the radar for most. Soiree French Touch – taking place at the French Institute – is set to welcome acclaimed French DJ and producer, Strip Steve, on a night that is for pure music lovers.

AUC New Cairo’s Al Sharaja Gallery is set to host a brief but much talked-about exhibition that gives women – both Egyptian and foreign – a platform to tell stories of abuse and harassment in Cairo’s streets.

Quickly becoming Cairene clubbers favourite brunch-come-Friday-morning-hangover-recovery spot in he city, this week’s Eat to the Beat sees Eat & Barrel welcome one of the most rapidly rising DJ acts in Egypt, the duo they call Disco Masr.
ELECTRO SHAABI NIGHT @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
Cairo Jazz Club hosts the unstoppable force that is shaabi music, as leading practitioners of one of Egypt’s few native arts, Islam Chipsy and Figo, take to the stage.
