While the majority of Cairo’s urbanites are taking every opportunity to hit the road and head north to take in some sun, sea and sand, The Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski are doing their first summer in Egypt’s in capital in style, offering a host of different seasonal specials – the first of which is a very special room rate offer.
Starting at 1750LE (inclusive of service charges and taxes), Cairenes looking to spend a few days in the kind of luxury that only The Palace can offer, can get a double room, which comes with a typically indulgent breakfast buffet. That’s not all, though; booking a two-night stay during weekends will get you a third night for free, plus 10% off all food and beverage at Aqua Chill, Vibes and The State.
You needn’t leave the kids at home, either; The Palace’s Family Plan offers 20% discount off a second room for children (2 maximum).
If the thought of being surrounded by the concrete of Cairo while friends wistfully enjoy the beach life, then The Palace’s special day use offers might well be your perfect remedy; starting from 888LE all inclusive, you can get access to the hotel’s stunning pool facilities and the use of a bed-only, two-person room. These offers are valid until August 31st and are available for both Egyptian and foreign nationals.
One of the more outlandish things at The Palace this summer, however, is an invasion of sorts – and invasion of mangoes, to be precise. During the month of August, Mango-Mania will see hotel outlets, Vibes and Aqua Chill, serve up a veritable smorgasbord of mango infused eats – everything from familiar mango kunafa and mango panna cotta, to mango brownies (yum) and mango chocolate cake (double yum), to mango-infused sushi (yum some more). The pièce de résistance of Mango Mania, however, comes in the form of Aqua Chill’s special burger with fresh mango – yes, you read that right.
That’s not the only food fete at the Palace this summer though; since the hotel’s opening, The State, has been one of its most popular restaurants and weekly dinner buffets on Thursdays and Fridays for 290LE++ between 7PM and 11PM. Taking a healthier approach to the buffet food concept, the spread will feature dishes made from seasonal foods, sushi and a live pasta station, while the roasted lamb and broiled sea bass have been promised to be particularly special. There are plenty more options to sink your teeth into, too, while a stay at the hotel will grant you a 15% discount of the buffet.
