  • Security Forces Close Down Seoudi Market

Earlier today, Egyptian security forces descended on the Mohandiseen branch of Seoudi Market, with several local media outlets reporting that staff at the Hegaz Street store were forced to remain in the supermarket after the doors were locked.

It would seem that the supermarket chain is being investigated for its links with the Muslim Brotherhood, while other rumors allege that it’s actually being investigated for charging far too much for imported Cherry Coke.

Subsequently, Seoudi Market branches have been closed city-wide which is horrible news for me as Sunday is grocery shopping day. Stay tuned as this riveting story unfolds.
