New gadgets and technology make us giddy at Cairo Gossip, and none more so with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5, which – fingers crossed – is rumoured to be arriving at these shores within the next two months.
As expected, it builds on the S4, but with a few new interesting features. It’ll be available in several colours including charcoal black, shimmery white, electric blue and copper gold. At 5.25 inches, the screen slightly bigger screen, but don’t worry, you can fit in your pocket – apparently.
Now for the important part; the S5 boasts a faster processor, an improved 14MP camera in the rear and a 2MP camera in the front – making your selfie that much clearer.
The S5 is IP67-certified, meaning it is both water-proof and dust-proof and will come fitted with a 2899 AH battery – so no need to take your charger everywhere you go. Of the slightly more useless functions, meanwhile, there’s a heart-rate monitor built into the back of the handset next to the camera flash.
That all sounds fine and dandy, but is it worth S4 owners shelling out for the new model? How much will it cost? And how will it fair against Apple’s big plans for 2014? Either way, I’m salivating.
