  • Leaked Photo Confirms That Next Assassin’s Creed Game WILL Be Set in Egypt

After a year of only hearing rumors regarding the next Assassin’s Creed game, an in-game photo was recently leaked, confirming that the next the edition Ubisoft’s popular action-adventure series of will be set in Ancient Egypt as corroborated by Eurogamer.

The picture was leaked on Reddit by a user named Ashraf Ismail – a Ubisoft staffer working on an ‘unknown” project’. The title of the game has also been leaked and changed to Assassin’s Creed: Origins, instead of Assassin’s Creed Empire as rumored previously.

On a boat on what seems to be the Nile, the player is shown carrying a bow and arrow with a shield on his back, with the mission ‘Assassinate the Crocodile’ with the subtitle: ‘Follow Shadya to Khenut’s villa’. Khenut was a Queen of Egypt living during the fifth dynasty between 2375 and 2345 BC.

While Ubisoft has been keeping its cards close to its chest, many predict that this year’s E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) on the 13th, 14th and 15th of June will witness the game’s official announcement.
