  • Is Egypt on the Verge of Collaborating with Apple?

Recently, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly talked with the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, during the World Economic Forum on the prospects of a future cooperation with Egypt, according to an Investment Ministry statement.

Cook told Madbouly that Apple is open to cooperate with Egypt in improving educational technology, especially as this is aligned with Apple’s objective of improving education around the world.

We can only wonder how this is going to be set up; as of now, no plans are in the works yet. However, Madbouly did invite Cook to visit Cairo for potential investment in the New Administrative Capital.

Part of the new educational system reform plan has involved offering public students tablets, and a few months ago many companies have entered a bid to provide such tablets. Samsung won the bid and delivered a first batch of 250k tablets.
