Christmas is just around the corner and whatever you might say about commercialisation and whatnot, it’s become increasingly difficult not to be swept up in the festive season in Cairo – a feeling at CG headquarters that is owed partly to Galleria40′s upcoming plans.
As one of the newer complexes of its kind in Egypt’s capital, the Sheikh Zayed located hub for shopping, dining and generally just chillaxing, has always marked occasions in style and will continue in similar form with a special Winter Festival, set to kick off Friday 20th of November and continue for three more Fridays after that.
We’re about to sway on the tunes of the biggest bands in town (Cairokee, Massar Egbari, The Cadillacs) as well as the legendary Yehia Khalil and indulge in lots of fashion with @styletreasure at Galleria40′s Winter Festival. So gear up for a winter like no other starting November 20, because soon, the tide is taking over! #Galleria40 #WinterFestival For more info: https://www.facebook.com/events/168991073447280/permalink/171860819826972/

But what can you expect from the Winter Festival? Well, firstly, some of the city’s top music acts are set to take to the stage, with too-cool-for-school rockabilly aficionados, the Cadillacs, kicking things off first on a day that will also see Style Treasure set-up shop with a typically swish fashion bazaar. From then on, the big names just keep coming; the 27th will see Alexandrian band, Massar Egbari, perform, and the endlessly popular Cairokee take on music duties on on December 4th, before the legendary Yehya Khalil brings things to a close on December 11th, with a lavish Christmas bazaar also on the cards for the last day.
This is not the first time Galleria40 have dived headfirst into a celebration in similar fashion; the likes of Mahmoud El Leithy, Saad El Soghayer and Ahmed Adaweya were drafted in for several spectacular mouled-themed Ramadan nights in July and, just like before, the Winter Festival is free to enter.
