After last year’s success, Cairo’s hottest fashionistas will take to the runways on 15th of November for the second instalment of Ultimate Fashion Wear’s Cairo Fashion Festival.
But there’s more to the festival than sitting and watching people who are frustratingly skinnier than you glide by.
As was the case last year, the ‘Morning Circus’ will offer live bands, stand-up shows, and activities for kids. The latter might seem a little odd but it gives parents the chance to browse the stalls and buy some of the exclusive wares from over 50 exhibitors.
From 7pm the audience will require formal dress, as over 70 designers show off their Autumn/Winter 2013 and Spring/Summer 2014 collections across 20 catwalk shows. The champagne will surely flow as beautiful models show off the work of Cairo’s finest.
CFF aims to bring together established and emerging talent, be it local or international. If they can emulate and build on the success of their debut, they may succeed in their goal and put Cairo on the global fashion map. If you’re a designer who thinks they’ve got what it takes, you can submit your creations by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for submissions is September 15th.
You can find more info on the Cairo Fashion Festival Facebook page.
