    Gamers are in for a treat over the next twelve months; the launch of the PS4 Pro has been in the headlines, but there’s a whole host of new releases to look out for throughout the year. Here are our top picks for the most anticipated games of 2017 – start saving your salary, folks.

    Resident Evil 7 

    Released across the world on 24 of January, this horror classic will make you piss your pants as has become the norm, but this time with the introduction of a first-person view, moving away from its traditional third-person view.

    For Honor

    Coming out on the 14th of February (Valentine’s Day!), For Honor pits Samurais, Vikings and Knights against each other in a bloody feud through a compelling single-player campaign and a domination-styled multiplayer mode.

    Sniper Elite 4

    WW2 era game , Sniper Elite 4 , will also be released on the 14th of February and in this installment of the popular series, Italy is the country of choice, putting you into the shoes of a sniper taking out Nazis, with its trademark X-ray gory vision that shows you the damage you’ve done to the human body. Nice.

    Horizon Zero Dawn

    Set to be released on February 28th, Horizon Zero Dawn is a post-apocalyptic third-person game with a female heroine that lets you explore and navigate a world overrun by robots in order to discover what happened to the human race and how they fell from being the dominant species on the planet. Bonus: The Arabic dubbing for the game was done here in Egypt!

    Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Wildlands

    Set in the present rather than the near future, the reboot of Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon gives you the reigns over one of the military’s elite units, ‘The Ghosts’, with black-op missions and an assault on cartel’s among the challenges. Released on March 7th, this is the first time the series has used an open world map.

    Sniper Ghost Warrior 3

    Out on April 4th, the third installment , of Sniper Ghost puts you in the shows of a sniper in search of his brother while on a mission to stop a nearing  Cold War in Georgia. This version gives you the freedom of choosing how you’d like to proceed through your missions by providing an open world game.

    Ace Combat 7

    In the seventh installment of the infamous flight simulation game, players can fly jets and claim supremacy over the skies through dog fights and air battles in the game’s most  compelling campaign to date.

    Crash Bandicoot Trilogy

    The PlayStation classic that is Crash Bandicoot is set to return this year with a re-mastered and updated version of the main trilogy for players to enjoy on the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

    Guardians of the Galaxy

    Known for their excellent storytelling and amazing Walking Dead series, Telltale Games have announced that their next release will be related to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which is an awesome shift from their previous Batman game.

    Injustice 2

    What happens when you pit your favorite DC characters against each other and give them to the developers of Mortal Kombat? You get Injustice 2— a game with a great story straight out of the comics. This sequel features a new character customisation options and increased roster of characters. If you’re a fighting game fan, this one’s not to be missed.

    Mass Effect Andromeda

    Captain Shepard’s story ended with the last Mass Effect, but that has not stopped EA from creating a new story, where you play as a character dubbed ‘The Pathfinder’ and try to find new homes for the human race on other planets.  


    Prey has been in development for some time and we’re finally seeing the end of it with a multitude of news, trailers and gameplay footage; with a new scary vibe, this first person sci-fi\horror action game has us on the edge of our seats.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

    We’ve only seen a trailer and a picture so far, but we’re already hyped for this game, as Rockstar has pushed the envelope when it comes to both graphic achievements as well as storytelling. Much is expected from Red Dead Redemption 2 and it looks like it’s going to deliver.

    Shadow Warrior 2

    With the success of the first edition, and with a legacy dating back to the 90’s, Shadow Warrior brings comedy and action to a whole new level, especially when fighting demons with weapons like katanas and machine guns in this first person classic.

    Uncharted: Lost Legacy

    Naughty Dog has been on a roll with the Uncharted series and The Last of Us; with that in mind, they’ve recently announced their line-up for the future and even though Nathan Drake has finished his adventures, Chloe and Nadine haven’t, as revealed in the latest trailer for Uncharted 2.

    Assassin’s Creed

    Rumored to be called Assassin’s Creed: Empire, the latest chapter of the popular series is to be set in Ancient Egypt, where you play as a freed slave and climb the Assassins’ order ladder to become a lethal assassin; it’s also rumored to be part of a trilogy planned for the IP.

    God of War

    PlayStation blew people away at the E3 conference in 2016 with an unexpected reveal for the new God of War game, and fans have been talking about it ever since.  This installment features an all-new setting , with Kratos having a son!

    Death Stranding

    Possibly the most anticipated game of the year comes via the legendary Hideo Kojima. Starring some big names including Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) and Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal and Rogue One), details are about Death Stranding are still scarc, but that hasn’t stopped people buzzing, talking and speculating.

    The Last of Us – Part 2

    The Last of Us is widely considered one of the best games ever and ranked pretty high on gaming websites around the world, so when it was announced that part two was in development last year, people started to freak out – and with good reason. This time round, players will take control over Ellie in the post-apocalyptic world of Clickers and the worst monsters of all…humans.
