    Genius word-play in the title aside, there are few cuisines more suited to Ramadan than that of our Lebanese brethren, making Tamara Lebanese Bistro an ideal spot for fetar and sohour this month.

    Standing as one of the most popular Lebanese restaurants in Cairo, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better, more authentic and more delicately made Lebanese meal than at Tamara  all year round – and Ramadan is no different.

    Offering a set-menu of Lebanese classics for fetar Tamara is going all out with a gargantuan six-course spread, offering diners choice of soups, appetisers, savoury pastries, grills, tajines, Oriental desserts and traditional Ramadan drinks – at 200LE per person.

    Forgoing the usual fusion approach, Tamara is keeping things deliciously simples, instead letting their award-winning food do all the talking – and the sohour set-menu is just as enticing.

    At just 110LE per person, all manner of foul and falafel are available, while a plethora of egg options also await, as well as some traditional sohour appetiser foods, pastries, desserts and juices.


    Ramadan has always been a go-to for hungry fasters and late-night sohour hangouts in Cairo, while 2016 has already been an eventful year for the chain, whose highlights include a new branch opening at the Waterway in New Cairo and a Cairo 360 Editors’ Choice Award win – and we tend not to argue with Cairo 360.
