  • 3al Corniche: Fairmont Nile City Goes Traditional for Ramadan

There are few, if any, occasions that go by without seeing Fairmont Nile City dive head-first into it with the hotel’s typical style and panache. Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, Christmas or Sham El Nessim, the luxury, award-winning hotel knows how to celebrate an occasion – and the biggest occasion of them all, Ramadan, is no different.

Building on the success and popularity of previous nostalgic Ramadan concepts, Ramadan Zaman, El Leila El Kebeira and 1001 Nights, this year – and the fact that the hotel has one of the best Nile-view in the city, period – FNC is taking inspiration from the traditional Egyptian spot, the Corniche.

Ramadan 2016’s 3al Corniche concept is set to transform the hotel into a veritable carnival all things Corniche; think traditional lupin, corn and hummus carts, for example – yeah, they mean business!

It all sets the scene for what is shaping up to be a spectacular month at the Fairmont Nile City, with some of the hotel’s top restaurants awaiting Cairenes for 30 nights of lavish food, great entertainment and even a sprinkling of cultural events.

Napa Grill will be welcoming many a hungry faster into what will be a typically extravagant fetar buffet for 320LE++ per person, while the newly-renovated Bab El Nil is looking like a top-notch option for grand fetar feasts and late-night sohour hangouts.

With board games galore, some of the best shisha in town and gigantic 138-inch screen to catch all your favourite mosalsalat on, Bab El Nil certainly ticks all the boxes for an ideal Ramadan evening. In addition, to all that, private TV screens are also at your service, while authentic live music is the cherry on top of this most gluttonous of Ramadan experiences. The venue’s recent facelift has seen more modern, kitsch pop culture touches adorn what has been one of the most unique venues in Cairo since it opened some six years ago.

Also on offer is a special ‘Shisha & Dessert’ Package‘; offering mouth-watering Oriental sweets and desserts alongside quality shisha  to the backdrop of stunning views,  the package is available daily between sunset and 9PM and – perfect for a relaxing start to the evening.

With special fetar and sohour menus for groups of all sizes also available starting at as little as 215LE++ per person and a customisable outside-catering service also on offer, Ramadan is set to be a busy month at Fairmont Nile City.
