  • Weekend Guide: Misty, DJunkie, Ahmed Shiba, Cadillacs & More

It has been a sad week for Egyptians, so we figured there’s no better way to change your mood than a party. And, here in Cairo, there’s always a party here, there and everywhere.

Starting off with Thursday, Cairo Jazz Club 610 has decided to go all electric with two of the best DJs Misty and Aly Goede, while Cheeseballs and DJunkie will be setting The Tap West on fire with some cheesy tunes and nostalgic R&B sets. Elsewhere, at The Garden Nile Front, Nile Vibes party continues with DJ Fabric rocking the decks, along with DJ Marry Khalil and their resident Dj Sheeko.

Also, one more crazy night is back in the game, Back To The Future party at The Tap Maadi with the one and only A.K. On the other hand, Cairo Jazz Club is welcoming local cover bands: The Cadillacs and Funk Off for their Thursday Night Live. And Gu Bar’s famous WKND Party isn’t quitting our list for sure, and this time Mostafa Hagag is the one ensuring that all the belly dancers are moving their hips.

Switching to our favourite day of the week, Friday! First, hip-hop master, aka DJ Feedo, is heading to Cairo Jazz Club 610 to make you all dance. Deep JR and Misty are taking over The Tap East with their epic house sets. Gu Bar is welcoming back Saad El Soghyar, in case you’ve missed him last weekend, for their Oriental Night.

Moreover, Cairo Jazz Club is serving an incredible house kind of night by bringing two experts in the field, Hassan Abou Allam and Carlos. ORA is hosting the best Weekend Nights with a delicious food and cheerful atmosphere with DJ Simon. And, DJ AWE is tripling the music at The Tap Maadi, and has decided to hand out some blues, swing, and funk covers.

Finally, a very unique party is happening at 24k! Galabya Party! Yes galabya, and you will be wearing one! The night will be full of nothing but Arabic vibes with Onsy and Groove Bel 3arby.

Saturday is starting out with a night just for all you ladies as The Garden Nile Front is bringing back their Ladies Only night! And another night — just for Nirvana lovers– is taking place at The Tap Maadi, where the band Seattle are taking over.

For some more live performances, you can either head to Cairo Jazz Club to enjoy bands Hageen and Mazeek, or head to The Tap West for smooth acoustic tunes by Shady Ahmed.

Last but not least, reserve your spot at Gu Bar and go all HeshekBeshek to the songs of Ahmed Shiba.

These are only a few of the events taking place this weekend across the capital – check out the Cairo Gossip calendar for more.
