The newest member of Cairo’s bars and clubs, VENT, is hitting the ground running this Friday with Egyptian rapper, Bambam, set to headline the new bar/art space’s first night open to the public.
As part of production and visual art collective, Skullcave, Bambam is one of those ‘real artistes’ that you hear about so often – a real craftsman of music. With the rapper’s first release – album/mixtape, ‘Bus #609′ – on the cusp of completion, Bambam is likely to be a name you hear often over the next few months.
Starting at 7PM, the night will also see Scullcave comrade, Swag Lee, show off a few tricks behind the decks. For any early risers, the bar and kitchen will be open from 12PM.
It's a strong signal of intent from the VENT team, who have promised a kaleidoscope of events and gigs, covering artists and acts from all walks of life and turning a could shoulder to the monotony the city's club scene is heading towards. And for that, the VENT team get a fist-bump.
