Fairmont Nile City has long been considered more than a just a hotel. I mean, don’t get me wrong, their pillows are among the best I’ve ever hit an underwear-clad woman with, but its also been one of the most in-demand venues for nightlife event organisers in Cairo – everyone from Event Republic to Back 2 Basics have held multiple successful parties there.
FNC’s own nightlife ambitions, hiwever, are about to get a shot in the arm, with set to open TwøFøld with with a unique two-room set-up.
Set to officially launch on Friday 19th of February, TwøFøld has been conceived in collaboration with, and will be under the watchful eye of, the Gawdat brothers – two of whom you’ll recognise as the popular and cheery DJ duo. The opening night will see Hafez and Russ Yallop take to the decks in one room and Baher and Gardens of God in the other, with Sebzz also joining the fun with an opening set.
While all parties involved have been keeping their cards close to their chests over the last few months, what we do know thus far is that the coming months will see a mixture of both international and local DJs play at TwøFøld. A rough skeleton of a schedule has been confirmed, too, with Thursday being hip-hop night, Friday reserved for electronic music and a mixture of different kinds of music set for weekdays.
Stay tuned for more on what is shaping up to be an exciting new edition to Cairo’s nightlife scene.
