    The weekend is but a few hours away and I’m already in my shorts and flip-flops, to the disgust of everyone else in the office. But I don’t care about the shifty looks and comments – I’m going to Sahel this weekend and I’m seriously considering not coming back this time. Here are the best of the weekend’s events on the North Coast.

    ROUGH CUT FT MONEIM @ 6IX DEGREES
    (Thursday)

    Hacienda Bay’s 6IX Degrees kicks off the weekend with a special, duuurty night of  old school r&b and hip-hop gets. The man in charge of the music is a certain Mr Moneim.

    LE CABARET @ THE LEMON TREE & CO.
    (Thursday)

    The Marassi branch of the Lemon Tree & Co. is going to be getting hit and steam this weekend, with Le Cabaret. Tito is on hand to provide the music.

    CASSETTE FT AMR HOSNY @ THE LEMON TREE & CO.
    (Friday)Marassi has quickly become like a second home for the Godfather of the Egyptian DJ scene, Amr Hosny, and this Friday, he’ll be leading the charge at the Lemon Tree & Co. with Cassette.

    POP CULTURE FT. ELIE ABBA @ 6IX DEGREES
    (Friday)

    Dubai-based sho cho resident DJ, Elie Abba, is the thrown that is the 6IX Degrees DJ booth for a night of old school club hits with Pop Culture.

    WHITE BEATS @ TABLA
    (Friday)

    Coliseum-shaped Sahel club, Tabla, kicks off what they hope will be a the first in a series; White Beats is the new nightlife spot’s first annual ‘white party’ and will feature the jiggly talents of Dina the Belly Dancer.

    SUNSET PARTY FT. TITO & ALY GOEDE @ THE LEMON TREE & CO.
    (Saturday)Marassi’s the Lemon Tree & Co. wraps up a busy weekend with Sunset Party; a night of cocktails, pretty dresses, butto-doen shirts and music courtesy of DJs Tito and Aly Goede.

    6IX Degrees ends the weekend on a particularly funky note, with weekly retro-inspired night, Saturday Night Live, channeling the squeaky chipmunks that were the Bee Gees.
