The weekend is (almost) here and Sahel is calling! Bars and clubs in the North Coast have been in overdrive since Ramadan, as we all try and enjoy summer while it’s still here. This weekend is no different, with big things happening at 6IX Degrees, La Bodega, Tabla and more.
There’s another big weekend of drinkin’ and dancin’ this weekend at Hacienda Bay’s 6IX Degrees and things kick off on Thursday with Just Candy, featuring the disc-jockeying talents of German house DJ, Oliver Koletzki and Cairo’s own Moneim.
LEGENDS & LEMONS FT ALEX KENTUCKY @ THE LEMON TREE & CO. (MARASSI)
The Lemon Tree & Co.‘s Marassi branch – one of two to have opened in Sahel this summer – is going all out this Thursday with the delightfully named Legends & Lemons which will feature Ibiza resident, DJ Alex Kentucky.
CAITLIN LIVE @ TABLA
(Thursday & Friday)
There’s literally nothing sexier than a woman with a violin tucked underneath her chin, drawing and plucking away like there’s no tomorrow – Caitlin will be obliging for two nights in a row at Tabla.
SUMMER GROOVES @ LA BODEGA
I, like, many have still not go over the brutal closure of La Bodega in Zamalek, but the legendary bar has made a huge comeback this summer at Marassi. This Friday, Amr Hosny is on hand for Summer Grooves.
EL FARAH @ HANOUNA
Often forgotten bar and restaurant, Hanouna, welcomes one and all for a quintessentially Egyptian night on the North Coast with El Farah; an evening that will see shaaby star, Hamdy Batchan – and a harem of belly dancers – take centre stage.
POP CULTURE FT. RALPH AARAJ + GEEKOS @ 6IX DEGREES
The weekend 6IX Degrees continues on Friday with another edition of colourful night, Pop Culture, with the night’s music coming courtesy of Lebanon’s Ralph Aaraj and French DJ, Geekos.
OLDIES NIGHT @ TABLA
Tabla ends the weekend on a funky note, with Oldies Night on Saturday, as the club invites you to get down and boogie to the funkiest retro tunes. Or whatever.
OTTAWAN @ 6IX DEGREES
Alternatively, disco and funk fans might be interested in 6IX Degrees’ guests for the evening, – French duo, Ottawan, famous for generic sounding hits such as D.I.S.C.O and, that other one that sounds the same.
