  • Things to Do in Cairo This Weekend

    thingsblur

Easter, Sham El Nessim, Spring Break – call it what you will, but it’s so agonisingly close that we can already smell the aroma of the salty sea, sun cream and half-finished, warm cans of beer. Yes, the beach is calling but we’re not quite there yet. In the meantime, though, this weekend has thrown up some hand-rubbingly good events at Bus Stop, the Tap East, Cairo Jazz Club and more…

Who would have known that a bar in Manial would become so popular, eh? The Garden Nile Front is hot-stuff right now thanks to a steady stream of hot-stuff bookings, the latest of which is one of Egypt’s premier female DJs, Akladios.

Meanwhile, over at the Garden 1.0, this week’s edition of weekly party, Motion, sees hip-hop and r&b connoisseur, DJ Feedo, kick off the weekend at the Korba bar – and it’s the first of two tasty looking events there. More on that later.

We’re not quite sure if Bus Stop is making some kind of connection between Aguizi & Fahim and Laurel & Hardy, but either way, the New Cairo bar welcomes the Cairo duo for this week’s House Station.

The folk at Blurr Entertainment have big plans for the Easter break, but there’s something equally as big in the works this weekend. The second edition of the Blurr 100% series sees UNER, Rodrguez Jr., Abou Samra, Misty and Marc Wahba take to the decks at the Temple.

It’s been a while since the Garden held one of its popular day-party-come-brunch-come-excuse-to-get-day-drunk, Fridaze, but this weekend sees the return of the series with DJ Karim Saber providing the music.
