  • Things to Do in Cairo This Weekend

    things-ex

Another barrage of big barties (high-five for forced-alliteration) awaits once again this weekend across Cairo, with the likes of Nacelle, Cairo Jazz Club, Zigzag, Cheers, the Temple and Riverside all preparing for a busy night or two. Yes, we’re in that awkward, middling ‘no man’s land’ part of the month that forces you to step back and assess your remaining finances, but, just to repeat: Nacelle AND Cairo Jazz Club AND Zigzag AND Cheers AND the Temple AND Riverside.

NACELLE: HOUSE SESSIONS @ THE TEMPLE
    (Thursday)

Though clubbers are still reeling from the news that this is to be the last ever season of House Sessions, there’s still plenty of Temple-based Nacelle fun to be had with four remaining dates, starting this weekend with Oxia and Hassan Abou Alam.

Now running two consecutive series, the Temple has really come into its own as of late, with this edition of Disco at the Temple welcoming Turi Omneari – a man who isn’t afraid to let his hip-hop roots sneak into his deep, tech and progressive house sets.
    __________

Though he doesn’t spend as much time in Cairo as he once did, Ahmed Harfoush can’t help but put on a show when he’s in town – it’s in the guy’s blood.  This weekend, the Cheers co-owner leads a night dedicated to George Michael and Wham.
