    Cairo’s urban party season is winding down as Cairenes predictably prepare to flock to warmer climates. One of the few advantages of this week is that it’s got a bucket-load of closing parties to offer. These, as any dedicated party-goer knows, tend to be the freakiest, loudest, and booziest affairs of the season. We’re closing up now, let’s give it our all.

    One of Cairo’s newest party series, Back in the Daze, sees the LaidDaze crew and their meerry band of followers take over the Omar Khayyam Boat in Zamalek, with music coming courtesy of local favourite, Baher, and German techno duo, Âme.

    As one of the standout contestants of Student DJ 2014, Mai ‘kidmims;’ El Sabi has been popping up at parties and bars all over Egypt and this weekend sees one of the top female DJs in the city return to Maadi bar, the Tap.

    Thursday Obsesssion at Fairmont Nile City’s O Bar will see resident DJ, Irma, step aside and share the decks with local up-and-comer, Shady Maher.

    Speaking of top female DJs, Cairo Jazz Club is set to welcome Fairouz and Akladios to the DJ booth for another freaky Friday night, with underrated disc jockeying local, Nader Tahawy, closing the evening.

    (Friday)

    Event Republic shake things up with their popular In the City series, with Gold in the City taking place on a Friday and welcoming DJ SHawky, Italian duo, JazzyFunk, and Dutch DJ and producer, Dennis Kruissen.
