You’ll have to excuse for being a bit sheepish today – last night was quite the knees-up thanks to Event Republic and Spring in the City. Recovery time is estimated to be two days, but there are some great parties awaiting across Cairo’s bars and clubs. To stay in or to go out – that is the question.
HASSAN ABOU ALAM + ABOU SAMRA @ VENT
Possibly one of the most underrated DJs in Cairo, Hassan Abou Alam, returns to Downtown bar/art-space/unearther of many a musical gem, VENT, for a night of techno and house that will also see Abou Samra take to the stage.
HOUSE SESSIONS BY NACELLE @ THE TEMPLE
Another big House Sessions await this weekend at the Temple in Giza, as Nacelle welcome back two of the most unique local DJs around, Klady and Minus T – even Tito is extra-excited by this one.
SHADY EZZ + A.K @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
Long-time bros, Shady Ezz and A.K are set to collide this Friday at Cairo Jazz Club, for a big night that will first see the two play individual sets, before going back-to-back to end the night with G-House hip-hop mash-ups.
RIVERDEEP FT. SHENZO & ALY AWADI @ RIVERSIDE
The Awadi Brothers are coming out to play this weekend, with Sherif Awadi’s Thursday night gig at Maadi bar, the Tap, being followed up by a Aly Awadi appearance at Riverside‘s Riverdeep along with Shenzo.
FUNKMASTERS RUBBERBAND @ THE TAP
Funk-what Rubber-who? They may not be the biggest name on Cairo’s music scene, but FunkMasters RubberBand is a band you need to get to know better – even if only because FunkMasters RubberBand is fun to say. This weekend, they perform at the Tap.
