  • Things to Do in Cairo This Weekend

    club

Now that the curfew has been lifted,  it seems it seems like the perfect time to fall  into those tailored bad habits. Luckily, Cairo’s bars and clubs have taken the news in stride, and the city’s nightlife scene has plenty in store…

RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY RADIO: QUARTER TONE FREQUENCY BY NACELLE @ THE TEMPLE
    (Thursday)

I make a point to never mix Red Bull with alcohol, but I also make a point to never follow my own advice. For the second installment of new radio show, ‘Quarter Tone Frequency‘, Nacelle has assembled a line-up close to what Ocean’s 11 would be like if they had musical talent. Or were Arab. Or were only four people. Wings sold separately.

BACK 2 BASICS: FIFTY SHADES OF NIGHT @ TAMARAI
    (Thursday)

Inspired by my high school experience, Back 2 Basics‘ Fifty Shades of Gray-inspired night welcomes DJ Shawky and resident DJ of the Blue Marlin in Ibiza, Prosper Rek on the decks. Live long and Prosper Rek!

THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS @ TAMARAI
    (Friday)

Tamarai celebrates the end of the curfew with DJ Lyon Avakian on the decks for ‘The City That Never Sleeps‘ which will probably have more to do with the music than the curfew.

    #PLAY @ NEW GREEK CLUB
    (Saturday)

Being an adult is overrated and pretending to be one is exhausting. The folks over at Event Republic empathize which is why #PLAY is here to give you an excuse to let your guard down for a couple of hours. I’ll be the one in roller-skates trying to get people to play Pokemon with me.

SKYLINE DANCE: MEXICAN EDITION @ CLOUDELEVEN
    (Saturday)

Stereotypes are only okay if they’re either funny or tasty. Cloudeleven has hit it spot on with Skyline Dance: Mexican Edition. This is probably the only time you’ll be able to drink as much tequila as you want and get applauded for being culturally accepting. Don’t pass up this opportunity.
