Whether you voted like a true patriot, or decided to go to work on time like a slightly better patriot, the time to celebrate is nigh. And with your weekday responsibilities over and done with, Cairo’s bars and clubs have heeded the call with a batch of events all ripe for the picking.
Ellie of London in the Fairmont Nile City‘s Saigon could be the plot of a Vietnam war movie directed by Sofia Coppola. This Thursday, the English diva has cooked up something special and will spend the entire evening covering the soulful tracks of late vocal sensation, Amy Winehouse.
2 B CONTINUED FESTIVAL @ FALAKI THEATRE
Back for its fifth edition, the 2 B Continued Festival sees Cairo’s most flexible talent take to the stage for a line-up of noodle-limbed dance at Downtown’s Falaki Theatre.
ELECTRO HOUSE @ O BAR
While Cairo may not come to mind when pondering the word ‘wonderland’, it’s always fun to pretend. The nice people of Cairo Flea Market return with a winter themed bazaar at Zamalek’s Aquarium Grotto Park, complete with live music and lots and lots of munchies.
Charitable, fashionable and slightly Egyptian model, Elisa Sednaoui, is guest of honour at Pashion Magazine’s third edition of Cairo’s Fashion Nights; a crazy chic gala showcasing names as large as Azza Fahmy, Sabry Marouf and Mohamed Al Sagheer.
