Only little way into 2016 and it’s laready looking like it’s going to be a good year for Cairo’s nightlife scene, as new names emerge and old ones evolve – we speak of Cairo’s bars and clubs, of course, who this week are laying a spread of some mighty tasty parties…
URBAN SUNDAY @ THE TAP
(Sunday)

Boy it’s good to have the Tap back. Though briefly closed at the end of December, the Maadi bar has hit the ground running in 2016 and this week’s edition of Urban Sunday is set to welcome DJ Miesh for a night of hip-hop and r&b.

SCREWDRIVER @ RIVERSIDE
(Monday)

Riverside’s 2016 has also promised big things and the Zamalek venue is gearing up for a special two-year anniversary event on January 20th, In the meantime, the always rambunctious Screwdriver return on Monday.

KIK @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
(Tuesday)

In possibly the biggest Cairo Jazz Club event of the week, the indefinable, occasionally ethereal, collective known as KIK (Kairo is Koming) make a rare appearance together in Egypt as they prepare for a European tour later this month.

B-SIDE BY NACELLE @ CAFE D’NILE
(Wednesday)
Though many are talking about the return of Funk N Pop this Friday, this week’s edition of B-Side is a biggie, with Safi and Aly Goede set tp provide the music at Cafe d’Nile.

R&B NIGHT @ UNDERGROUND
(Wednesday)

Mohandiseen bar, UnderGround, has been growing in popularity over the last few months despite its slightly awkward location, but that won’t deter hip-hop and r&b fans this Wednesday, because, you know, it’s DJ Feedo.

BOOGIE NIGHT @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB

This one doesn’t need the hard-sell – it’s Cairo Jazz Club, it’s Wednesday, it’s Ramy DJunkie.
