While Cairenes begin to make plans for boozy beach getaways this Easter, it’s easy to forget how much is still going on at our doorsteps. The call of summer is getting ever closer, but this week, the likes of the Tap, the Garden and Cairo Jazz Club are hosting some of the week’s top events and bidding adieu to what has been a busy month for nightlife in the capital with a bang.
BEATS LANDING FT. BETOKO @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
By far one of the biggest events of the week sees Betoko take to the decks at Cairo Jazz Club for what is set to be a huge Cairo return for the Mexican DJ. Not a night of the faint of heart.
PRIVATE SESSIONS FT. MOHASSEB + TAHAWY @ THE GARDEN
The last Private Sessions of the month sees Korba bar serve up a double whammy, as the progressive house beast that is Mohasseb, returns to the the Garden‘s DJ booth, with Nader Tahawy also getting in on the act.
BAM BAM & FRIENDS @ VENT
With hood firmly shrouded around head, local underground rapper, Bam Bam, returns to Downtown Cairo’s VENT for another night of his trademark experimental hip-hop alongside homies, Dubzy and Dumbo.
RASHRADIO + HANY MUST @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
Following the release of his single, FriendZoned, at the back end of 2014, RaShRadio has been popping up across Cairo more and more, with his latest gig coming at Cairo Jazz Club with this week, on a night that will also see Hany Must perform.
“HERE WE ARE NOW’ PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION OPENING @ THE TAP
This week, Maadi bar, the Tap, ventures into the world of the arts, with their first exhibition – and it’s a biggie. World renowned Cairo-based photographer, Steve Double, is set to display some of his best work with musicians – like the iconic Nirvana photo above. Wednesday is set to see Double host a private opening, before the exhibition goes on display for the rest of the month.
Keep the Cairo Gossip events calendar close for more parties, gigs and other events across the capital.
