Take a moment to catch your breath from a busy weekend – Coolio AND Valentine’s Day in such quick succession is a lot to take in. Make that breath a relatively short one, though, because there’s plenty to see and do across Cairo’s bars and clubs this week including the return of a very popular Greek duo, a mid-week boogie at CJC and Al Hezb El Comedy.
BEATS LANDING FT. TOSEL & HALE @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
The aforementioned Greek duo is, of course, Tosel & Hale who Cairo Gossip had the pleasure of sitting down with and asking mostly lazy questions ahead of their Cairo return at Cairo Jazz Club, where Shady Ezz opens.
PRIVATE SESSIONS FT. GAWDAT + A SQUARED
(Monday)From one lone ranger opening for a twosome, to another, this week’s Private Sessions welcomes up-and-coming disc jockey, A Squared, who kicks off this week’s edition of the Garden‘s most popular night, with Gawdat headlining.
ISMAEL SELEIT @ VENT
Downtown’s VENT continues to champion the disenfranchised with the latest victim of Cairo’s narrow taste of music coming in the form of Ismail Seleit, whose ethereal, minimalist electronic music deserves your time.
BOOGIE NIGHT FT. DJ RAMY @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
There’s nothing complicated about this one; it’s Cairo Jazz Club, it’s DJ Ramy, it’s Boogie Night – it does what it says on the tin. This week, though, Ramy is joined by Kareem Osman’s equally boogilicious visuals.
AL HEZB EL COMEDY @ THE GARDEN
After the giant sand monster that took over Cairo last week forced all involved parties to cancel this event, Al Hezb El Comedy have dusted themselves off and will perform at the Garden this week instead.
