Things to Do in Cairo This Eid

With Sahel season – and summer in general – heading to a close, it’s probably a good idea to save money and energy for the big North Coast parties of the weekend. Or – and stick with me here – you could go out in Cairo now, blow said money and energy and deal with the weekend on the weekend. Here are the events worthy of your time and liver this week across Cairo’s bars and clubs.

SHAWKY & GAWDAT @ CAIRO JAZZ CLUB
    (Monday)

Woah, tiger – SHawky AND Gawdat on a Monday night? Clearly, Cairo Jazz Club has no respect for office hours and waking up in the morning for work. This is the kind of thing that gets people fired. Not cool, CJC, not cool at all.
    __________

PRIVATE SESSIONS FT. DJ OUZO @ THE GARDEN
    (Monday)

Another Monday, another edition of Private Sessions and yet another reason to hate waking up on Tuesday morning. This week, the Garden’s guest Pied Piper of the decks is Pacha Sharm resident, DJ Ouzo.
    __________

OF EARTH & FIRE: FIEST DE CARNE @ ALCHEMY
    (Monday)

Now, I don’t  ‘hable español’, but I do understand the word fiesta and Google Translate told me that carne means meat – yeah, ‘meat party’. It’s not what you think – it’s Alchemy‘s weekly steak night with a Mexican twist.
    __________

JAZZING BY THE RIVER FT. AHMED HARFOUSH @ RIVERSIDE
    (Wednesday)

The only man who can pull of a polka-dot bow-tie without looking like a clown, Ahmed Harfoush, returns to Zamalek’s Riverside for a special midweek edition of Jazzing by the River.
