Despite being on the scene for less than two years, the cult of Theater of Dreams has never been stronger. As one of the premiere electronic music event organiser in Egypt, the initial beachside festival that debut in Sinai in January 2015 has grown to be much more since – and continues to do so with the announcement of a new monthly fixture on the Cairo nightlife calendar.
Announced this week by TOD founder, Mahmoud Zidan, each night will host an international headliner with two of Egypt’s best in tow. Kicking off on Thursday 13th October, volume one of Club Nights is set to welcome Brazilian DJ and producer, Sonic Future, as well as locals Baher and Abou Samra to Zamalek’s Venue Bar & Lounge.
Having enjoyed a whirlwind two years releasing music on independent music labels such as Suara, Hotfingers and Santos Music, Sonic Future has come to be a cult favourite around the world thanks to a versatility that sees the Brazilian act touch on everything from tech house, to funky disco.
The reveal of the new event comes as the latest in a string of post-summer returns to the capital's bar circuit, with Theater of Dreams looking to kick off the new season as it means to go on.
