With Cairenes adding the final touches to their beachside Eid preparations, it’s always important to remember the poor souls who, for one reason or another, will be stuck in the capital. It’s a sad state of affairs to find yourself in, but as per usual, the beacon of nightlife that is Cairo Jazz Club is making sure there’s plenty to keep you entertained over the Eid holiday.
Friday sees DJ Miesh take to the decks for a night of commercial deep house, before CJC favourite, Basheer, brings his unique Nubian-fusion music to the stage on Saturday and sultry songstress, Michelle Rounds, takes over on Sunday.
But this is just a prelude to a huge few weeks for CJC as nightlife in Cairo resumes normal operations. During the remainder of July, Aguizi & Fahim (20th), SHawky (20th) and Mohasseb (27th) number among the disc-jockeys set to welcome back CJC fans after the usual Ramadan sabbatical. It’s not all DJs, though, with Wust El Balad (21st), the likes Hesham Galal Sextet (26th) and Ahmed Saleh & Abdullah Miniawy(28th) set to grace the CJC stage.
Stay tuned for more from Cairo Jazz Club!
