With summer now a distant memory, there’s been a noticeable surge in Cairo nightlife events – more than the last few years, at least – but one name has been conspicuous in its absence: nineteen84 Management. Well, no more, because rumours suggest that they’re back in action this Thursday. Fist pump.
Last seen in El Gouna at the beginning of October, it’s been a while since nineteen84 has broken the shackles in Egypt’s capital; but some cunning – possibly illegal, definitely morally questionable – Cairo Gossip espionage work has revealed that the luxury and event management agency are gearing up for a spur-of-the-moment pop-up party this Thursday (26th) at Le Pacha 1901‘s creatively named rooftop space, OnTop, with devilish DJ duo, Disco Misr, and bearded, tattooed, cool-dude, Ramy DJunkie, set to provide the music.
Asked about the motivation behind this seemingly spontaneous soiree, nineteen84′s Sherry El Kilany is quoted as replying simply with, “Because YOLO,” though sources close to the managing partner and founder suggest that she took the decision after her original Thursday plans fell through.
