This year’s edition of Egypt’s biggest music festival is shaping up to be the tastiest yet, with the folk at Nacelle having just released a bumper line-up that brings together some of the country’s most talented with a spattering of international acts.
Taking place between the 4th and 6th of May in El Gouna, there’s a strong German presence in this year’s line-up, with some of these year’s foreign imports include off-beat Berliner, Mimi Love, popular duo, Âme, and the mustachioed Butch, as well as Oliver Schories, Madmotormiquel and the returning Nu.
Closer to home, local acts include The Meteors Project, Chiati, Aly B, Hassan Abou Alam, Zeina, Hisham Zahran, Kicksy, Aly B and Baher are set to represent.
Over the years, SANDBOX has stood as the biggest Egyptian music event of its kind, with this year’s festival the most hyped yet, thanks to Nacelle being showered an increasing amount of attention and acclaim from abroad, by fans and acts alike, which a short documentary shone a light on recently.
