On Thursday February 11th, event organiser, Tripventa, is set to take over Le Passage Cairo Hotel for what is shaping up to be a party of the highest order.
Kicking off from 5PM, Music Square is set to welcome the likes of rising DJ duo, Disco Misr, veteran DJ, Abou Samra, and fuzzy-haired, Helsinki-based DJ/producer, ADRY, alongside partner in crime OMR (aka F.I.D.O), as part of a line-up that also includes Finland’s Rony Rex, and a man that is no stranger to Cairo clubbers, Ahmet Kilic.
Taking place outdoors in the kind of glory that only green surroundings, bean bags and kilims can provide, this is less of an event and more of a festival – a concept that’s quickly becoming popular among Cairo that proves that electronic music doesn’t have to be confined to dark, smoky clubs. Don’t get me wrong, I essentially live in dark, smoky clubs but there’s something liberating about that moment when the sun hits you in the eyes and you realise your tipsy – it’s the little things, you know?
Anyway, tickets for Music Square are a reasonable 200LE, but you need to get your hands on them quickly – deadline for purchase is Monday 8th.
