If there was any doubt that summer is almost upon us, then let the Conrad Cairo Hotel put your mind at ease. This weekend, rooftop lounge and bar, El Mojito, is set to reopen on Friday 3rd of April with a special invite-only event.
Kicking off at 7PM, the folk at the Conrad are being rather coy in revealing what exactly the night has in store; but if it was anything like the full launch last summer, attendees are in for one hell of a night.
Last year’s official launch of El Mojito
After being unveiled by the Conrad in May of last year, El Mojito went on to be somewhat of a summer hotspot, hosting all kinds of events, including Salsa Nights and Tango Nights. The very grandeur of Conrad’s restaurants and bars – you have to eat it at Oak Grill, it’s phenomenal – have incorrectly labeled El Mojito as a place for a maturer Cairo crowd. But gigs featuring some of the country’s top DJs like Tamer Auf, Gawdat and Shady Ezz ensured that the huge rooftop bar can and does cater for the eclectic needs of Cairenes.
And so with a huge space, a stunning Nile view and the restful Cairo breeze, stay tuned for what we're told is going to be a big summer for El Mojito, including special Ramadan and Eid programs.
