  • CGuides: 8 Party Games that You Should Only Play on Weekends

    image-w1280

We know that the essentials of any great party are the music, the drinks, and the company. But what happened to good-old party games?! No we’re not just giving you an excuse to drink, or are we?

    1. Flip Cup

    via GIPHY

This one is one of the classic drinking games. Basically your friends will be divided into two teams, and each team will line up on the opposing side of a table. The first members of the two rival teams have to chug their beer as quickly as possible, because as soon as they’re done, they place their empty cups on the edge of the table face-up. Using only one hand, they need to flip their cups over so that it lands face-down. Each team waits for their predecessor to successfully flip their cup so they can flip their own. In the end, the first team to flip all their cups wins. The losing team drinks!

    2. Kings Cup (AKA ring of fire)

    via GIPHY

This one is a classic drinking game that you and your friends would need either a deck of cards or the game’s phone app from Apple or Play store. Each card holds a different rule that is predetermined before the game starts. The idea is that the players drink based on which card each person draws.

    3. Beer Pong

    via GIPHY

We couldn’t make a list of awesome party games and not mention one of the classics. So the players throw a ping pong ball across a table with the purpose of getting the ball to land in one of the pyramid lined-up cups of beer that belongs to the opposing team. If team A scores, team B drinks.

    4. Beer Die (AKA snappa)

    via GIPHY

To start with, you’ll need beer, a table, and a die. The goal is to land the die, after throwing it upwards to a certain height, either in your opponent(s) cup or having the die bounce over the table to finally land on the floor. The defending team attempts to catch the die one-handed after it hits the table, but before it touches a non-table surface. Needless to say, whoever gets die in their cup, drinks!

    5. Cards Against Humanity

    via GIPHY

If you’ve never heard of this game, we hate to be the ones telling you this, but you’ve been living under a rock. To play it, you’d need the cards specifically made for this game, and it goes as follows; each round, one player asks a question from a black card, and everyone else answers with their funniest white card. Warning, it could turn awkward pretty quick. And hey, you could always add a drinking twist to it if the answers get too dark.

    6. Sticker Stalker

    via GIPHY

Everyone will get some stickers at the beginning of the game, and the main goal is to stick them on everyone else quickly, while remaining inconspicuous. The last person to finish their stickers will drink, and the one with the most stickers on them will drink as well.

    7. 2 Truths and a Lie

    via GIPHY

You don’t need any gimmicks for this game, just your poker face! Each person says three statements, one of which will be a lie. And the group votes which one of the three statements is a lie. If the group is correct, the one who said the three statement drinks. But if the group’s guess is wrong, they all drink, except for the awesome manipulative-fu**.

    8. Celebrity Heads

    via GIPHY

The idea is you write the name of somebody famous on a card, and then pass it to the person on your right. Each person has a card that they stick to their forehead so others can see it but you can’t. You then get to ask yes/no questions until you think you know who it is. You guess right, everybody else has to finish their drink. You guess wrong, you finish your drink.

Forget about choosing your drinking buddies well. Choose your team members wisely, and may the odds be ever in your favour!
