Cairo Jazz Club to Celebrate ‘Movember’ With Special Charity Night
Cairo Jazz Club is marking annual moustache-growing frenzy, Movember, with a special event on Monday November 18th. ’Ra2ass Shanabak‘ (Dance Your Moustache) will see DJs Ouzo and Shady Ezz provide the entertainment for a night that will aim to raise money for children’s cancer hospital, ’57357′.
Egypt is quite of ten a little slow on the uptake when it comes to trends and fads, but Cairenes seem to have taken to Movember like white on rice. Having started in 2004 by the Movember Foundati0n in Australia and New Zealand, the yearly month-long growing of lip rugs in solidarity with prostate cancer, and other male cancers, has spread across the world.
And even though I, like many other Egyptians, look like a corrupt 80s Egyptian policeman, it's all for a good cause. So get growing. And if you can't, the boys and girls at CJC will provide fake moustaches for the ladies and for any guys who haven't quite hit puberty.
A 20LE entrance fee applies - but it all goes to charity.
