It’s been a busy few weeks at Theater of Dreams headquarters, with a three-part NYE party in collaboration with Pacha Sharm coming up. But Mahmoud Zidan and co. have also been busy plotting a huge anniversary celebration, which is set to take place between February 2nd and 4th at the place it all started for TOD, Nuweiba.
Marking two years on the scene, Zidan has expanded on TOD's repertoire this time round as an 'arts and music' festival.
On top of the yet-to-be-announced music line-up of 18 DJs, attendees will also get the chance to take part in Capoeira, Yoga and Pilates, as well as bowl and gong healing sessions in the mornings, while one of the most interesting new features is set to see 20 artists travel to the festival's location 10 days in advance to build various art installations.
It's been a busy season all round for TOD, whose recently launched monthly series, Club Nights, has already been a hit in Cairo thanks to bookings of the calibre of Sonic Future and D-FORMATION, while events featuring the likes of Richy Ahmed and Nick Warren earlier in the year and a well-received beach festival in Sahel has given Zidan and TOD plenty to celebrate in February.
