Gallery Misr has this week launched an innovative and just plain cool new exhibition by Adam Abd El Ghaffar; Affiche Plaisir sees the Egyptian visual artist create posters for Egyptian films, both new and old.
Ranging from El Kitkat and Ghazl El Banat to more recent movies such as Rasayel Al Bahr and Welad Rizk, Abd El Ghaffar pinpoints particular iconography of the films he has chosen and uses them in simple, but bold designs.
Having launched on Sunday 22nd of May, the exhibition has already turned heads at the Zamalek Gallery.
Our favourite of the bunch, though? Abd El Ghaffar’s poster for El Keif, obviously…
